The plan involves the acquisition and renovation of a La Quinta Inn hotel and on Caribbean Blvd. in the Town of Cutler Bay into affordable apartments. This initiative offers a crucial step towards reducing homelessness and providing stable housing for those who need it most.

While some residents have expressed concerns, it’s important to address them head-on with understanding. The Trust has actively engaged with the community,  emphasizing that the apartments will prioritize seniors – over 60% of residents will be over 55 years old.
